Reviews

Dr. Vogel's insights are wonderful to read. I worked as a hospice nurse for the hospital system that he works for. I very often saw people being admitted to hospice care who died within a few days. They suffered through surgery and medical care that made their last months and days miserable instead of giving them care that helped their symptoms and gave them quality time. Dr. Vogel brings these things to light and places emphasis on LIVING until you die as opposed to existing to the end.

For anyone interested in researching the concept of breast cancer risk assessment and management of high risk patients, this is your bible. While the copyright is a little old, most of the information still holds true. I wish there was a more current version to visit some of the more recent controversies in breast cancer screening and early detection.

I have long been an admirer of his and the tremendous contributions he has made to the breast cancer effort. Through his new book, he once again brings insight, clarity and experience to this subject by tapping into the vast resources of the excellent contributing authors. He has captured a wealth of information that will be invaluable to both scholars as well as those facing the challenges of this disease.
